
Business Leader for Diagnostic Services

This is an exciting new position that will oversee the implementation and management of projects and initiatives that meet and deliver on strategic goals within our unit.
The role involves supervising and mentoring teams, working with executives and clinicians, and being involved in stakeholder management, change management, and project management in a dynamic academic health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET examinations and produce associated images according to standards set by MMI and MQ Health.
- Assist Nuclear Medicine Physician in setting up procedures, administering therapy doses, operating equipment, and administering drugs during nuclear medicine procedures.
- Operate technical equipment and report any errors or malfunctions to the supplier's technical and support team for prompt resolution.
- Communicate, liaise, and coordinate with medical, administrative, and reception staff in clinics and other healthcare facilities in accordance with MQ Health values.
- Comply with established standards for radiation protection (ALARA) and current licensing with NSW EPA.
- Manage and implement projects assigned by the Associate Director - Imaging and Hospital Operations, ensuring effective project management to support operational objectives.
- Provide information on all aspects of project implementation, including preparing project briefs and plans, identifying and coordinating resources, stakeholder consultation, developing budgets, identifying key milestones, and delivering regular reporting on progress.
About You:
You will have prior management experience within the medical imaging industry, a track record of successful delivery and implementation, high-level influencing skills, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will possess qualifications within sciences and/or certification in diagnostic CT within NSW.
As a natural problem solver, you will manage multiple demands simultaneously, ensure deadlines are met, and stakeholders are kept up to date. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, recognizing and mitigating risks while meeting budgetary constraints.
