Job Title: Heavy Diesel Mechanic Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled technicians and drive the success of our workshop crew. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient utilization of equipment and resources, managing work schedules, and liaising with stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of technicians to meet service expectations
  • Driving a safety-first culture within the department
  • Liaising with technical support staff and coordinating diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work
  • Managing work schedules and daily workshop activities to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources
  • Liaise with stakeholders pertaining to machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Australian (or Australian recognised) heavy diesel or mobile plant trade qualifications
  • Earthmoving equipment experience is required
  • Leadership experience in a comparable industry is desirable
  • A strong safety-first mindset and ability to embrace, display, and drive HCA's Safety Culture
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
  • The ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high-quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework
