Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Amazon Full time

POSITION SUMMARY

Amazon Australia is on the lookout for a driven and seasoned leader to oversee the Operations team for the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) business across Australia (AU) and Singapore (SG). This position demands a visionary leader capable of elevating the team's performance to new heights. If you possess a passion for people management, operational excellence, and are eager to challenge conventional methods, this role is tailored for you.

The FBA model is built upon Amazon's exceptional capabilities in ordering, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service. By harnessing our extensive scale and supply chain efficiencies, FBA offers a cost-effective solution for fulfillment, empowering third-party selling partners to expand their businesses rapidly. The FBA Operations team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our selling partners by delivering innovative operational solutions, managing processes, and overseeing inventory management. Additionally, the team provides guidance to selling partners on defect management and handles escalations effectively.

As the Program Manager for FBA Operations, you will be responsible for the execution and oversight of processes related to inbound logistics, Fulfillment Center receiving, inventory management, and reverse logistics challenges to support a thriving Fulfillment by Amazon operation. Amazon seeks individuals who are committed to hard work, enjoy a dynamic environment, and are enthusiastic about making a significant impact.

This role involves managing FBA Operations programs and developing metrics that yield insights into daily performance while pinpointing areas for improvement. You will serve as the subject matter expert for all operational initiatives related to FBA in AU & SG. Your responsibilities will include auditing processes, holding internal teams accountable through established metrics, managing escalations, enhancing processes (such as Standard Operating Procedures or automation), and effectively communicating with key stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will lead a team of four operations program managers in Australia and maintain a dotted line relationship with three investigation specialists in India. Collaboration with Amazon Operations and Supply Chain teams will be essential. You will be tasked with organizational design, establishing and monitoring performance standards, crafting strategies for employee engagement, and identifying as well as spearheading process improvement initiatives.

Successful candidates will exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to inspire and lead large teams, adeptness in navigating ambiguous situations, and a results-oriented mindset. A proven track record of delivering operational excellence within a fulfillment center environment and experience working cross-functionally is essential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience in defining program requirements and utilizing data and metrics for improvement
