Parks Maintenance Labourer Role

We are continually seeking skilled labourers to join our grounds maintenance and parks teams at various locations throughout the city. This is an opportunity for individuals to express their interest in current and upcoming roles within this space.

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $67,642 per annum + 12% super + leave loading
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the EBA5
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Select your preference/s in the application form. Our teams are based out of depots located at Arana Hills, Bribie Island, Caboolture, Dayboro, Deception Bay, Margate, Narangba, Petrie and Woodford.

The role involves general labouring tasks to preserve and enhance public parks, gardens and open green spaces. The job holder will typically work with a crew leader on a designated run and undertake duties such as:

  • mowing parks and nature strips
  • mulching and weeding
  • pruning and planting
  • brushcutting and hedging
  • spraying and removal of debris and litter

This position offers variety and the satisfaction of seeing immediate results from efforts. It also provides an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our parks, gardens and green spaces, making a tangible difference in our community's safety and appearance.

About You

Ideally your application will demonstrate recent experience performing manual handling tasks related to parks maintenance.

We are seeking applicants who demonstrate:

  • knowledge and physical capability to perform manual tasks safely
  • a team-oriented mindset

In addition to these skills and experience, successful candidates must possess:

  • a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid)
  • a Construction Induction Card
