About the Role

Are you a seasoned project manager with a knack for overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects? Do you have a passion for delivering complex projects on time and within budget? We are seeking a strategic and experienced project manager to lead a major campus development in the Cairns CBD.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join our team and contribute to a transformative project. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and completion, operating in a client-side role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of stakeholder engagement, procurement, contract administration, and risk management
  • Coordination of consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
  • Effective communication with stakeholders, including funding bodies, councils, consultants, and contractors

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience leading major infrastructure projects (>$50M) through all phases—from design and tendering to construction, commissioning, and completion
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
  • Sound knowledge of project management frameworks, with strong capabilities in scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of legislative requirements, including the Building Code of Australia, Australian Standards, and local authority regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, submissions, and tenders, and to negotiate effectively in complex stakeholder environments
