About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Alstom, a global leader in the rail industry. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the maintenance of our NGR fleet, working closely with the Engineering, Operations, Planning, QA, and Project teams to ensure the smooth operation of our trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the Maintenance Optimisation plan, ensuring the efficient maintenance of our fleet.
  • Support and execute the yearly Engineering Strategy and Business Strategy, driving innovation and improvement in our operations.
  • Develop and implement systems for recording, analysing, and reporting performance data, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Apply engineering principles to investigate rolling stock fault trends and identify root causes, driving continuous improvement in our maintenance processes.
  • Write Technical Procedures for the operations teams, ensuring clear and concise guidance on maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct engineering-based risk assessments for the project team, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects.
  • Provide engineering support to the project team as required, leveraging your expertise to drive project success.
About You

  • A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with experience using software tools to support engineering activities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with a strong academic record.
