Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing and evaluating incidents for potential regulatory breaches.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

This is a 12-month fixed term position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating incidents, identifying systemic issues, and collaborating with colleagues to develop strategies to address and manage root causes.

The Risk Management Specialist will also be responsible for collating and reporting data, training colleagues on compliance processes, maintaining and updating documentation, tools, and processes, as well as providing administrative support as needed.

In addition, the successful candidate will conduct thorough investigations of reported incidents, analyse incident details, gather relevant evidence, and document findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate incidents for potential regulatory breaches
  • Identify patterns and trends in incidents
  • Develop strategies to address and manage root causes
  • Collate and report data
  • Train colleagues on compliance processes
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of superannuation and financial advice laws and associated regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  • Experience with incident management systems is desirable
