Achieving Environmental Excellence
About the Role:
This position plays a vital role in protecting and enhancing environmental health across the city.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures that support the sustainable regulation of unreasonable noise.
Key duties include leading scientific noise studies, managing data analysis to inform evidence-based policy and procedure development, providing expert advice on noise and vibration issues, conducting and leading investigations into environmental noise complaints, and managing technical equipment and reporting.
Requirements:
- A degree in Science or Engineering relevant to environmental noise
- A comprehensive understanding of public and environmental health legislation, guidelines, and Australian Standards specific to environmental noise
- The ability to work independently in regulatory and compliance environments and engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
