
Occupational Therapy Professional

The Department of Health is seeking a skilled professional to work as an Occupational Therapist in our Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) team. As a member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will be involved in the assessment, planning, and delivery of Occupational Therapy services for clients and their carers referred to the CRU in Southern Tasmania.
About the Position:- This role requires working with adult clients who have diverse diagnostic conditions, primarily acquired neurological conditions and progressive neurological conditions.
- You will comprise an interdisciplinary team focused on client-centered goal setting and rehabilitation planning.
- Your key responsibilities include working with clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals in our well-equipped centre and in their home and community.
- Deliver adult outpatient rehabilitation services to clients with a range of diagnostic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans that cater to the needs of each client.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy approved by the Occupational Board of Australia.
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated expertise in current contemporary Occupational Therapy practices.
- Able to exercise professional judgment and initiative in decision-making.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
