Job Title: Policy Officer

Join the Department for Human Services as a Policy Officer and contribute to the development of innovative policy initiatives that support the Office for Women and Department of Human Services objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of policy initiatives that support the Office for Women and Department of Human Services objectives.
  • Coordinate policy, projects, and strategy to achieve Office for Women and departmental goals.
  • Provide consultation and support services to stakeholders and users of the Family Safety Framework.
  • Provide advice to management and stakeholders on legislation and public policy on women's issues.
  • Prepare high-quality written documents, including Ministerial briefings, submissions, and reports.
  • Evaluate the implementation of policies and programs, including data and outcome analysis.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain professionalism and respectful interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
About the Office for Women:

The Office for Women is responsible for the Domestic and Family Violence Safety Alliance and works across government and community towards achieving gender equity and positive change for women in South Australia.

The Office develops policy and provides advice on issues affecting women to improve their safety, wellbeing, and economic security.
