Lead Regulatory Specialist

The role of the Lead Regulatory Specialist is to oversee a team responsible for assessing police and adverse information to determine who is eligible to hold a Blue Card. This ensures that only qualified individuals can work with children.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction to the Eligibility Assessment Team, ensuring consistency and accuracy in regulatory assessments.
  • Assess complex cases, ensuring decisions align with legislative requirements and maintain high standards of integrity.
  • Manage escalated matters, support team members, and drive process improvements, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Prepare reports, legal correspondence, and stakeholder updates, effectively communicating complex information.
  • Interpret legislation and apply it to real-world cases, demonstrating expertise in regulatory decision-making.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in regulatory decision-making, legal assessments, or risk management, with a natural ability to lead and manage complex teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to interpret complex legislation and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
