About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Volvo Group Australia. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient execution of accounting and reporting activities to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial reports for Volvo Group Australia, adhering to closing schedules communicated by the group.
  • Utilize Volvo Group Consolidated reporting system for processing weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of the general ledger, identifying and resolving any issues or anomalies.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Controllers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support annual audits and stock take processes in coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage demo vehicles inventory and financial reporting to facilitate informed business decision-making.
  • Identify and implement procedures to enhance month-end reporting processes for efficiency and internal controls.
About the Team

As a Financial Accountant at Volvo Group Australia, you will be part of a larger Finance team, working closely with colleagues in different departments and levels. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in a global organization and contribute to innovation and sustainability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business with a major in accounting or equivalent.
  • Membership of CPA/ICAA.
  • Previous accounting experience in a commercial environment, particularly in month-end activities.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage workflow with minimal supervision.
