The federal government is seeking a DevOps Administrator to fill a critical role in their operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 support for SDTE infrastructure.
  • Execute the change request lifecycle: registering, assessing, authorizing, planning and deploying.
  • Assess risks and mitigate risks to availability, performance, security and compliance of products and services impacted by change.
  • Plan and manage hardware and software maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Automate tasks through scripting, coding, orchestration tools and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement measures to ensure infrastructure security and integrity.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and its impact on efficiency, performance, security posture and sustainability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Provision, deploy and configure infrastructure services and components efficiently.
  • Monitor infrastructure for load, performance and security; report metrics and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Execute standard operational procedures, including backups and restorations to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out agreed system software maintenance to keep systems up-to-date.
  • Automate routine system administration tasks using standard tools and basic scripting to reduce manual efforts.
  • Maintain and optimize technology infrastructure, executing updates and employing automation tools to improve performance.
  • Configure tools and/or create scripts to automate infrastructure management and monitoring.
  • Design and document system operational, change and security procedures to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to monitor load, performance, and security metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Investigate and enable the resolution of operational and security-related issues to minimize business disruption.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance and updates to ensure long-term viability.
