You will be part of a multidisciplinary teaching hospital with ECC, referral, and general practice services under one roof. The work environment is designed for clinicians and specialists to collaborate closely, ensuring patient care of the highest quality.

About the Role

This position is suitable for veterinarians of all experience levels:

  • For general practice vets, we provide mentorship, training, and tutorials within your work hours to transition confidently into ECC.
  • For ECC vets, dedicated support from experienced team leaders and specialists will help you develop skills and achieve career goals.
  • For seasoned ECC vets, this role offers opportunities to guide and mentor future veterinarians while contributing ideas and expertise to clinical advancement.

The roster includes day, night, and swing shifts with structured recovery time, allowing you to recharge and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle Townsville has to offer.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least two years of general practice experience or a 12-month internship in a multidisciplinary setting for GP vets.
  • Sound experience in Emergency & Critical Care or completion of an ECC internship for ECC vets.
  • A passion for mentorship, collaboration, teaching, and advancing veterinary care in a supportive environment for experienced ECC vets.
