Supply Chain Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring the Supply strategic plan in relation to volumes, specifications, quality, assured supply, regional risk management, and regional supply to suit regional orders, stock management, and minimization of freight costs.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role in fresh produce, with solid experience dealing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party growers. They will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, and a self-starter who is a team player; proactive, persuasive, and flexible attitude.

In this role, you will work closely and manage relationships with our strategic supply partners, plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of products needed to meet the category DIFOT targets, work directly with the sales team to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution to customers, monitor and communicate stock levels internally to ensure rotation and product quality, research and provide recommendations in relation to new/potential product lines or product line extensions, support the New Product Development team to identify suitable products and ensure successful launches, manage seed/breeding companies and nurseries to ensure appropriate technical support is provided to selected growers and approved nurseries and continually improve quality on farm and GIFOTQ (Grown in Full on Time with Quality), ensure efficient allocation and weekly balancing of returnable packaging.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in agriculture, horticulture, or related discipline, proficient computer skills in MS Office, especially Excel, and the ability to travel as required.
