Job Opportunity

This is a Permanent Part-Time role at 40 hours per fortnight within the Specimen Reception Department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform Specimen Reception duties at laboratories as required by rotational roster.
  • Operate, maintain and report malfunction of automated equipment/instrumentation under supervision of scientific staff.
  • Enter data and register patient details on Laboratory Information System to high level of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Attend training sessions and successfully complete them as directed by senior staff.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed according to Departmental and Organisational policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures to ensure effective operation of Specimen Reception.
Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with Certificate or Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory) or equivalent. Previous experience performing specimen processing in diagnostic laboratory is desirable.
