Job Title: Veterinary Nurse
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency and Critical Care Nurse to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency and critical care patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist veterinarians during diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgeries, upholding the highest standards of patient care.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including post-operative care, and respond to emergencies efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary team, pet owners, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues and participating in continuous learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong technical nursing skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency response.
- Flexibility: Ability to work across a 24/7 roster, adapting to the dynamic nature of emergency and critical care.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team.
- Team Player: A positive attitude with a strong commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients.
