Lead Maintenance Technician

Busways is seeking a highly experienced individual to lead our team of maintenance technicians in the daily running of our workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our fleet, while also maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.

The successful applicant will have a Certificate III in commercial vehicle mechanical technology or above, and a minimum of 3-5 years working as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. They will also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.

  • Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies
  • Mentoring apprentices to learn their trade and playing a critical role in their growth within the team
  • Day to day running of the workshop
  • Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures

Highly Regarded but Not Necessary:

  • Medium Rigid (MR) or above Australian drivers licence
  • Heavy vehicle diesel mechanic experience (we provide training and development)

Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.
