Job Overview:

This role is designed to support senior management within the Operations Directorate by providing expert financial advice and insights.

The successful candidate will be a key member of a team of finance professionals working across various areas, including Community and Aged Care, Allied Health, Mental Health, Clinical Support, and Service Improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to designated managers, influencing decision-making and driving financial improvements;
  • Develop, monitor, and interpret timely and accurate financial results and key performance indicators to inform operations;
  • Monitor and analyse financial and activity performance against established targets;
  • Assist in the development of annual operating budgets for the Directorate;
  • Support the creation of financial models for new initiatives;
  • Contribute to the development of annual operating and capital budgets.

Requirements:

  • A business-related degree from a tertiary institution and preference for CPA or CA ANZ qualifications;
  • Public health experience is advantageous;
  • A background in financial accounting and business partnering is preferred;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to form collaborative relationships;
  • Advanced analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to manage complex tasks independently and meet deadlines;
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills;
  • High-level computer skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
