Curriculum Leader Job

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional educator to lead our HSIE team from Term 1, 2026. As a key member of our educational community, you will shape learning across Years 7–12, mentor and inspire staff, and drive academic excellence in a dynamic and supportive environment.

  • Develop and promote teaching excellence throughout the department.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the HSIE Department.
  • Motivate and support staff to adopt effective and contemporary teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Vision:

  • Craft and articulate a clear vision for HSIE teaching and learning at the College.
  • Lead a team of teachers to pursue excellence in pedagogy and student outcomes.

Teaching and Learning:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum, assessment, feedback, and reporting.
  • Monitor and review the quality of teaching and learning using achievement data and feedback to drive improvement.

Staff Development and Management:

  • Induct, mentor, and support new and early-career teachers.
  • Appraise staff and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth.

Administration and Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of programs, assessment data, student progress, and communications.
  • Manage departmental resources and compliance processes.

Success Criteria:

  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of successfully leading teaching teams.
  • Exemplary teaching practice in HSIE subjects, with experience across Stages 4–6.
  • Experience in HSC marking.
