Finance Officer

Job Title: Finance Officer - Temporary Part-time Position

Job Summary:

The Catholic Schools Office Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team on a temporary part-time basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Principal, with a focus on financial management and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer elements of the school's finances, including purchase orders, invoicing, quotations, deliveries, activities payments, and fee payments.
• Manage billing and accounts receivable, purchasing, asset, inventory, and accounts payable.
• Prepare internal finance reports for members of the leadership team.
• Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Work with various databases, Microsoft office programs, and Excel.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Finance or equivalent qualification.
• Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
• Completion of anaphylaxis training.
• First Aid Certificate (desirable).
