Job Title: Sustainability Strategist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Strategist to lead our environmental sustainability initiatives and ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability strategies aligned with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and provide day-to-day environment and sustainability support to internal stakeholders, including planning and overseeing environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, water, waste, noise, and air.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for enhancing environmental performance.
  • Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environment and sustainability performance targets, and collaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements.
  • Implement ISO14001 Accreditation requirements and assist in the management of environmental issues, including incident investigations.
  • Promote compliance in project environment and sustainability matters, delivery of training, toolboxes and awareness programs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, councils, regulators, and other community stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing environmental sustainability strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, with ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
