Make a Difference with the L2P Driving Mentor Role

At Launch Housing, we're dedicated to ending homelessness in Melbourne. As part of our mission, we're seeking volunteers to join our Education First Youth Foyer site and make a real impact on young people's lives.

As a driving mentor, you'll provide guidance and support to help learners gain their probationary license through the L2P Program. This is a unique opportunity to share your skills and experience while making a positive difference in your community.

The role involves working closely with EFY Foyer and L2P staff to ensure successful outcomes for our clients. You'll also have access to training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Providing driving guidance and mentorship to young learners
  • Working collaboratively with staff to achieve program goals
  • Undertaking training and professional development as required

Requirements for the role include:

  • Being over 21 years of age
  • Having an interest in working with young people who are striving to achieve independence
  • Holding a current full Victorian driver's license
  • Having a satisfactory driver's license history
  • Being medically fit to drive
  • Being able to commit approximately 1-2 hours per week and be flexible
  • Having good communication skills and using a mentoring/coaching approach
  • Able to undertake training in person and online
