This is a standalone, national role based in Melbourne where you will oversee health and safety operations with minimal direct support.
You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Australian WHS regulations and standards, conducting risk assessments, leading internal audits, and supporting workplace managers in fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance workplace health and safety.
- Provide expert guidance to workplace managers on risk management and WHS compliance.
- Lead the investigation and management of workplace incidents, adverse events, and near misses across all sites.
- Ensure compliance with state-based regulatory requirements for notifiable incidents.
- Maintain comprehensive WHSMS documentation and integrate safe work practices into standard operating procedures.
- Monitor industry standards and regulatory changes, providing proactive recommendations for improvement.
- Identify training needs and develop health and safety programs tailored to organisational requirements.
