This is a First Nations identified role that works in tandem with the Children's Ground Research & Evaluation team. The position combines research, evaluation and policy leadership to demonstrate the impact of Children's Ground and drive system change externally.
The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting literature reviews and evidence scans, designing and implementing monitoring, evaluation and research approaches, and possess strong MS Programs skills. They will also have a solid understanding of First Nations evaluation and data sovereignty.
- Conduct literature reviews and evidence scans to inform systems reform frameworks, journal articles and strategic priorities.
- Collate internal and external evidence for evaluation, research and advocacy submissions.
- Establish a monitoring framework for tracking national and international literature and evidence.
- Contribute to leading practice in First Nations data, research and evaluation sovereignty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and enhance existing research partnerships processes and documents.
- Benchmark research and evaluation against national and international best practice in Western and First Cultural standards.
- Document local First nations staff views and perspectives on First Nations data, research and evaluation sovereignty.
- Develop and maintain an internal register of strategic research priorities.
- Identify research grant opportunities for community research projects.
Requirements:
A relevant degree/qualification in research and/or evaluation is essential. Experience in report writing and demonstrated expertise in undertaking literature reviews and evidence scans is critical.
