Job Description

As a Primary Classroom Teacher at our vibrant school community, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the spiritual, social and academic growth of students. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities, promoting a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported.

You will work closely with colleagues to share best practices and resources, contributing to the overall success of our educational programs. A collaborative approach is essential in this role, as you will be part of a dedicated team working together to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the physical, social and intellectual development needs of each student.
  • Establish a positive and supportive classroom environment, implementing fair and equitable behaviour management strategies.
  • Interpret and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning, challenge students to improve their performance and enhance overall academic achievement.
  • Engage with parents and carers through regular communication and collaboration, promoting partnerships between home and school to support student learning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs aligned with national standards and frameworks.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to maintain currency and advance teaching practices.

Qualifications and Skills

Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is required, along with a tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree or 75% complete). Experience in supporting diverse learning needs is an advantage.
