Aerospace Engineer

The University of Adelaide's School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is seeking a strong and dedicated researcher and educator at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer specialising in Aerospace Engineering.
This is a continuing (tenure-track) academic role that will work closely with our active academics in the fields of dynamics, modelling and computation, numerical and experimental aerodynamics, clean energy and other related areas.
We are looking for an expert in Aerospace Engineering with a well-established research track record and strong passion for teaching. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent, with expertise in the aerospace engineering research area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in Aerospace Engineering and publish high-quality papers in refereed journals or conference proceedings.
- Teach and mentor students in Aerospace Engineering, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Contribute to the development of our research programs and collaborate with other academics in the School.
- Participate in academic administration and contribute to the School's community.
Requirements:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent, with expertise in the aerospace engineering research area.
- Demonstrated research ability that supports the School's research strengths in experimental, design, and numerical modelling of next-generation aerospace technologies.
- Record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality refereed journals or conference proceedings.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff.
- Ability to work as part of a team and assert a positive influence on School culture.
Selection Criteria:
