Job Overview
">We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to take on a unique role in Far North Queensland. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to small animal practice and wildlife nursing, as well as develop skills in general nursing tasks, pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, emergency and critical care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake general nursing tasks including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, emergency and critical care.
- Perform minor surgical procedures when required.
- Maintain the overall hygiene of the work environment, including surgery areas and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and in-person interactions, including booking appointments and providing advice.
About You:
- You will require a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with at least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Australian work rights (482 or Working Holiday Visa holders) are mandatory for this role.
- An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures is essential.
- You must possess strong communication skills.
- A calm and friendly demeanor with a team player attitude is required.
