About the AIR6500 Program

AIR6500 is a $3 billion program aimed at developing a joint air battle management system for the Royal Australian Air Force. This ambitious project seeks to create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments.

The AIR6500 program will maximise situational awareness and enhance the speed of decision-making across the battlespace. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of this critical program.

Your Responsibilities
  • You will act as Agile Product Owner for the Collaborative Operating Environment team, working closely with the technical lead to establish complexity and feasibility of future taskings.
  • You will prioritise the team backlog, tasking the team and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner, documented, and presented to the Program and customer.
  • You will assist the AIR6500 1LMX Lead to meet AIR6500 programmatic needs with 1LMX solutions.
  • You will act as an agent and advocate for AIR6500's adoption of Agile, DevSecOps, MBSE, PLE, and Automated Test capabilities.
  • You will provide focused communication and leadership to the team to ensure achievement of both short-term and long-term commitments, deliverables, and objectives.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience working as a Product Owner within a SAFe Project, including Project Increment (PI) Planning and Sprint Planning.

You will demonstrate experience with digital transformation campaigns, promoting the adoption of transformative tooling, processes, and practices.

You will have superior experience presenting complex solutions to audiences of wide-ranging knowledge levels.

You will possess significant knowledge and experience with Software Configuration Management/repository Tools such as GitLab and Nexus.

You will also have significant knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, ArgoCD, and Rancher.
