As a leader in our organization, the Program Manager will play a key role in progressing the elevation of collective lived experience perspectives across Queensland and nationally. Reporting directly to the Director, this exciting leadership position will see you working closely with various teams within the commission to ensure that lived experience expertise is embedded in strategic system reform planning, policy development, project management, and governance.

This role will be instrumental in implementing our commitment to partnering with people who have experienced significant life-changing challenges. It is essential that the successful candidate has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and can provide guidance on how to address these through meaningful partnerships and collaborations.

The Program Manager will lead the implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting the empowerment of individuals with lived experience, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued throughout the organization. This may involve working closely with community groups, stakeholders, and other organizations to develop strategies and programs that promote positive change and outcomes.

Key responsibilities of the Program Manager include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at promoting lived experience expertise
  • Working closely with various teams within the commission to ensure that lived experience perspectives are incorporated into strategic system reform planning and policy development
  • Providing guidance and support to staff on matters related to lived experience and partnership building
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with community groups, stakeholders, and other organizations to advance the goals of the organization

Applicants must possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with lived experience. Prior experience in a similar role or industry is highly desirable.
