Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to provide tailored supports for individuals with mental health challenges. You will work closely with residents to enhance their daily living and self-management skills, strengthen social and community connections, and gain confidence and independence to live well.
- Build on strengths and resilience to aid clients in their recovery journey.
- Deliver high-quality services that facilitate positive educational and social experiences.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team offering specialized psychosocial support.
This 24/7 residential program provides safe, secure, and affordable housing for people living with significant psychosocial disability and mental health concerns.
Key responsibilities- Support clients to return to their community, live independently, and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged approach to recovery.
- Plan and deliver group programs that aid clients in building their skills and focusing on recovery.
- Collaborate with various services and the community to ensure a coordinated, integrated response to the client's recovery goals.
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other related fields.
- Experience working with people with mental health challenges and complex needs, including families and carers.
- Proven capability to implement therapeutic, recovery-oriented frameworks and practices, including risk mitigation, trauma-informed care, and family-inclusive practice.
