Architectural Design Drafter Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role where you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans using CAD software (SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD). Your primary goal will be to ensure alignment with architectural intent and compliance with building codes and standards.

You will develop detailed shop drawings for custom façades, staircases, balustrades, partitions, and decorative metal structures, translating architectural and design concepts into accurate, fabrication-ready documentation.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with architects, builders, and artisan metalworkers to ensure structural feasibility and seamless integration into overall building projects.

Ensuring that all documentation meets internal quality assurance standards and project deadlines is also crucial.

Revised and adapted drawings based on client, architect, or production feedback are expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare architectural drawings and detailed plans using CAD software
  • Develop detailed shop drawings for custom façades, staircases, and decorative metal structures
  • Translate architectural and design concepts into fabrication-ready documentation
  • Collaborate with architects, builders, and artisan metalworkers to ensure structural feasibility and seamless integration
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal quality assurance standards and project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Revit preferred)
  • At least two years of professional experience in drafting for architectural metalwork, façades, or related building design
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex architectural briefs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a design and production team
