We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in North Sydney. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of logistics and 3PL services for our ANZ region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute category management strategies for logistics and 3PL services
- Manage relationships with regional and global logistics suppliers
- Provide market insights and intelligence to drive value opportunities
- Develop and implement procurement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Support the annual procurement planning process
- Lead or support strategy execution via RFP or supplier negotiation
- Responsible for operational issues escalation and approval of purchase requisitions
- Conduct sourcing activities such as RFPs, negotiations, to completion of award
- Lead supplier consolidation to streamline vendor base
- Own contract process including review, approval and proper sign off
- Sourcing for alternatives to support innovation, cost initiatives as well as risk mitigation
- Implement and deliver Procurement targets for the assigned category
- Balance Cost and Quality factors in all the supplier engagement
- Establish solid KPI to track supplier performance
- Lead supplier selection process with best in class tools and framework
- Adept KC Approved Master Agreement for all supplier engagements
- Implementation of global and local procurement principles and the application of standardized procurement processes and systems
- Develop supplier evaluation and audit framework in collaboration with regional and global category teams
- Lead supplier development activities, set-up cross functional reviews to improve performance and drive value creation
- Proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans
- Lead Supplier Evaluation for key suppliers
- Identify external forums and resources for logistics team to increase market knowledge
- Continue to benchmark KC sourcing category in the marketplace
- Continuously evaluate the supply market to ensure that the latest information is available
- Bachelor's degree
- Logistics Procurement Experience in FMCG industry and/or 3PL environment
- Advance negotiation, and sourcing strategy development skills
- Good project management and communication skill in English
- Good understanding on financial metrics (i.e., Working Capital, Cost Avoidance, NSV, DPO, etc)
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent Microsoft office Skills (ie., Excel, PPT and WORD)
- SAP/ Coupa knowledge and experience is beneficial
