AUS Medtronic Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist to join our team in a key role that will drive business growth and customer satisfaction in the Structural Heart market.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our Clinical Territory Managers to understand the clinical and service needs of our customers and provide high-level clinical service and technical support.
- Support the sales and marketing efforts of our team by promoting and selling defined Medtronic products and services to key specialists and technical staff.
- Collaborate with our team to actively participate in quarterly business reviews and business planning, and execute on agreed actions.
- Proactively meet with our Clinical Territory Managers and other Clinical Specialists to manage case coverage requirements for the state.
- Support sales and marketing programs with specific complementary activities as provided by the Marketing team.
- Play a lead role in providing technical in-services, presentations, and training to specified customers.
- Practice effective communication by feeding back information regarding commercial and clinical opportunities and intelligence to relevant Clinical Territory Managers, Clinical Specialists, Business Development Managers, and other divisional staff.
- Consistently set and meet quarterly performance goals.
- Support Territory Managers with inventory control, including the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed.
- Support clinical study activities in conjunction with Territory Manager and the Clinical Research team.
- Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
- Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
- Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
- Retrieve all expiring product from field locations and return to the warehouse prior to expiry.
- All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
- Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Travel requirement: less than 25%.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing qualifications, general science degree, or similar preferred.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Clinical Specialist or equivalent technical medical experience.
- Successful completion of Blueprint II training.
- Comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge including clinical papers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the SH Clinical Offering.
- Strong clinical and business relationships with customers.
- Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/ theatres / departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling, and key influencers.
- Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
