Job Opportunity: Support Worker for Children and Families

We are seeking a qualified and experienced support worker to join our team in providing care and guidance to vulnerable children and young people.

This casual position involves working approximately 15 hours per week at our Caboolture location, supporting the team to deliver high-quality services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing individualized support and activities to enhance children's sense of wellbeing and self-esteem.
  • Working closely with the team to develop and implement intervention plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Engaging with children and young people in a positive and respectful manner, building strong relationships and promoting their social and emotional development.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting as required by law or organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and/or families in relation to complex issues.
  • Relevant qualifications (certificate or higher) and ability to work unsupervised with vulnerable children/young people.
  • A Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or Open Driver's License.
  • A current positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card), the ability to obtain positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
  • Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
