Recycling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Recycling Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our recycling operations, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of sustainability and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle mattresses for recycling, ensuring efficient processing and minimal waste generation.
  • Inspect loads of incoming vehicles and direct drivers to appropriate recycling areas, promoting safe and responsible waste management practices.
  • Assist drivers and customers with unloading contents and advise on disposal methods, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Maintain premises to ensure a high standard of presentation and tidiness, contributing to a positive working environment.

Requirements:

  • You must be physically fit and have experience deconstructing mattresses or similar tasks, demonstrating your ability to handle heavy lifting and manual labor.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will be interacting with drivers and customers on a regular basis.
  • Time management and attention to detail are crucial in this role, as you will be working efficiently to process recyclables and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • A valid driver's license and own transport are required, enabling you to travel between sites and complete tasks effectively.
  • You must also be willing to obtain relevant certifications, such as a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening (formerly Yellow Card).
