Microbiologist Laboratory Assistant Opportunity

About this opportunity:

  • Full-Time and Part-Time Evening Laboratory Assistants are sought within the Microbiology Department at our Bowen Hills laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist laboratory staff in preparing specimens and samples for analysis.
  • Operate laboratory equipment efficiently and safely, adhering to established protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a microbiology laboratory or similar setting is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, working methodically and efficiently while adhering to occupational health and safety policies.
  • Previous laboratory experience is highly regarded but not essential.
