Leading School Educator

The role of the leading educator is pivotal in driving school-wide improvement initiatives, aligning with strategic plans and priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school's strategic plan and priorities
- Develop and manage assessment and reporting policies and practices
- Manage staff performance and development, teaching demonstration lessons, and contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school
This role will involve supporting student focus groups and other feedback activities to enhance student connection through agency. A school alumni program will also be developed to foster ongoing connections between students and the school community.
Connection to CultureThe leading educator will act as the school's Marrung Lead, overseeing programs that promote the learning of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and perspectives. They will work closely with First Nations students and their families to connect them with each other, the school, and their culture.
Connection to CommunityThis role will support students in connecting with the wider community through various activities and events. The educator will also establish links with local businesses and community groups to enhance opportunities for Heathmont College students.
