Karratha, Australia CHC Helicopters Full time

At CHC Helicopters, we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Operations Officer to join our team in Karratha, WA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to our flight operations and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Base Administration – booking accommodation, raising purchase orders, maintenance requests
  2. Ensure that the Daily Flying Program is completed by respective personnel on base
  3. Coordinate support to flight logistics
  4. Play a key role in CHC's ability to set the standard for safety, helping to maintain our position as world leader
  5. Ensure the Operations room is equipped with the necessary publications and other relevant information is available to enable flight crews to conduct pre-flight planning
  6. Maintain the status and movement boards
  7. Ensure the Base radio facilities are serviceable prior to commencement of the daily flying program (to include meteorological gathering equipment)
  8. Maintain a continuous Flight Following watch during the period of duty
  9. Co-ordinate SAR response in accordance with Company procedures
  10. Ensure the flight crews are advised of their duty periods and any changes to their roster
  11. Ensure the operations and duty hand-over logs are recorded in an efficient manner
  12. When on Standby Duty, be available for call out in the event of any flight requirements

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

  1. Full flexibility involving shift work, flexible start and finish times - required to work weekends
  2. Strong organisational and time management skills
  3. Competent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office Suite
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. The ability to work autonomously under general direction
  6. Team oriented and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  7. Demonstrate a positive, flexible and adaptable approach
  8. Excellent customer service skills
  9. Aviation operational experience or experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably
