Job Opportunity: Aurion System Administrator and Payroll LeadThe Australian Government Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Aurion System Administrator and Payroll Lead. This role will involve leading a team responsible for providing quality end-to-end payroll services to the Department and the National Indigenous Australians Agency.This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who has experience in managing payroll services, human resources management information systems, and technical process development.About the Role:In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading and managing a team that provides quality payroll services to the Department and NIAA;
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Aurion Human Resources Management Information System instances for the Department and NIAA;
  • Developing and enhancing the Aurion system, coordinating upgrades, and ensuring accurate and timely advice to clients;
  • Coordinating the execution of pay runs, reconciliation, disbursement, and production of creditor reports and costing;
  • Routinely reviewing payroll and technical Aurion processes and procedures to ensure they remain accurate and contemporary;
Key Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A proven ability to supervise and manage a team in the successful provision of quality payroll services;
  • Sound written and oral communication skills;
  • A demonstrated capacity to facilitate cooperative and collaborative relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders;
  • A demonstrated ability to manage surge work and larger payroll projects to deliver high-quality outcomes;
About Us:The Shared Services Branch within PM&C provides corporate enabling services for payroll, Human Resources (HR) system administration, HR helpdesk, financial operations, and procurement. The Payroll, Aurion, and HR Help Section works closely with other areas across PM&C and its shared service clients to deliver high-quality payroll services, Aurion system administration, and a helpdesk function.
