Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to manage and execute activities in key categories of spend, ensuring the achievement of our strategic objectives and delivering value for money.

This role involves sourcing, negotiation, contract management, financial reporting, and purchasing within allocated portfolios. The successful candidate will lead engagement with key suppliers, undertake contracting and procurement activity at all levels, and ensure optimum commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of contracts to support various sustainment and generation projects
  • Ensure compliance to contract values and vendor performance for assigned contracts and portfolios
  • Management of subcontracts to ensure contract compliance and performance
  • Contract review meetings, key performance indicators, and various contractual deliverables
  • Develop savings and other initiatives to improve overall efficiencies that demonstrate value for money and support continuous improvement objectives

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience in a relevant Supply Chain role in a defence, manufacturing, or resource environment. Strong commercial acumen, contract management, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.

A current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance, and an ability to access protected US defence technology are required. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
