The Surgical Unit we cater to is a 45-bed General Surgical ward accommodating a variety of specialties from Bariatric, Urology, ENT, Gynaecology, Orthopaedic, and paediatric patients.
About the RoleThis role involves delivering evidence-based nursing care and ensuring patient and staff safety. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.
- Deliver high-quality patient care and ensure patient satisfaction
- Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information
You will also be responsible for current Registration with AHPRA, Working with Children check (if relevant), Commitment to Quality Patient Care, Compliance with ACQSHC National standards, Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills, Excellent communication and customer service skills, Works well independently or within a team, Basic computer skills.
