Senior Manager, Control Assurance
Overview
A high-achieving Senior Manager will play a key role in enabling effective risk management practices across the organization by sharing subject matter expertise in control assurance, testing methodologies, and risk and control oversight.
This senior-level professional will be responsible for supporting the Head of Enterprise Risk and Assurance in developing and maintaining the control assurance framework and standards at the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Embed Control Assurance Framework:
- Develop and maintain robust control assurance frameworks, standards, and methodologies that align with organizational objectives.
- Execute Control Assurance Activities:
- Plan, execute, and review control assurance activities to ensure timely and effective risk and compliance advice to stakeholders.
- Monitor and Improve Controls:
- Monitor the quality, delivery, and embedment of the Controls Assurance Program and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop Assurance Capability:
- Develop and maintain the assurance capability and skillset within the team and the broader risk community.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience working in risk and compliance, preferably in the financial services industry, with a focus on control assurance activities.
- Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills, relationship development, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
- Personal Qualities:
- A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable culture.
