Our Controls and Customer Outcomes (CCO) team resides within the Retail Bank and its purpose is to drive sustainable enhancements to business practices and processes that deliver better outcomes for our customers, shareholders, and the community. We do this through our four strategic pillars of preventing, detecting, and responding to issues and embedding and sustaining the change we make into the business we support.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting RBS to design and implement automated controls enabling better risk and compliance outcomes.
  • Ensuring the effective design of automated controls for new and changing processes and operations, and supporting the business through the implementation.
  • Supporting lead RBS in the design, development, and embedment of a continuous assurance model.
  • Conducting and managing the Control Assurance Program (CAP) testing, including the development of test scripts, and reporting on assurance findings.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Testing Automated/Application controls or IT General Controls with a strong operational risk management background and knowledge of areas such as Continuous Control Testing, Benchmarking and advanced analytical testing procedures.
  • Experience using SQL, the ability to think critically and analytically, and use data-driven insights to solve problems / achieve risk / assurance outcomes.
  • A strong understanding of software development lifecycle and implementation testing.
  • Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse/identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Leadership capability with the ability to drive a positive, professional, and engaging team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced data analytics and programming skills are desirable.
