We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to represent Australia on the Air Navigation Commission of ICAO. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping Australia's aviation policy and promoting the country's interests in the international civil aviation community.
Key Responsibilities- Represent Australia on the Air Navigation Commission and contribute to the development of global standards and recommended practices for air navigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Australian Government agencies, including the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and Airservices Australia.
- Provide technical advice and support to the Australian Government on aviation-related matters, including safety, security, and environmental issues.
- Represent Australia at international forums and conferences, including those related to ICAO and other international aviation organizations.
- Collaborate with other countries and international organizations to promote safe, efficient, and secure air navigation.
- Extensive technical knowledge and practical experience in one or more fields of air navigation.
- Strong management experience in a technical environment, with the ability to apply technical knowledge in a strategic sense.
- Comprehensive understanding of the regulation of international civil aviation.
- Experience in the application of the SARPs contained within ICAO's Annexes pertinent to aviation safety and air navigation.
- Experience representing Australian interests in an international environment, including the knowledge and skills necessary to work in a multilateral diplomatic environment.
- Working knowledge of other official languages of ICAO (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish).
