At Ignite Recruitment, we're seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Electronic Systems Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer for Special Projects, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites across the South Asia region, including Australia.

The role requires a significant amount of travel, both domestic and international, with up to 80-90% of time spent on the road. You will work in various environments, including airports, cargo facilities, correctional facilities, courthouses, and cruise terminals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out service, maintenance, and installation of electrical, electronic, mechanical equipment and systems
  • Inspecting, repairing, testing, and adjusting equipment
  • Providing technical support to customers and sales/project staff
  • Maintaining technical skills and developing technical knowledge
  • Liaising with Company factories and support staff as required
  • Working closely with 3rd party service providers
  • Maintaining appropriate technical licences, security licences, and security passes
  • Providing basic safety and operator training on completion of any installation or new works
  • Exercising every available measure to control and minimize costs
  • Regional support travel on overtime beyond work hours may be required
  • Complying with and ensuring department compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental policies

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An electro-mechanical qualification or equivalent technical training/experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a minimum 2-3 years' experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual with a high level of initiative and desire to succeed
  • An advanced level of oral and written English to communicate with multiple stakeholders in various parts of North and South Asia region
  • The ability to pass all relevant security clearance processes imposed by the customer and/or site
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask several projects at once
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations
  • A self-starter, able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • A clean driver's license
  • The ability to acquire and maintain relevant security clearance and industry-related licenses
  • A valid passport for international travel
