Quality and Risk/Infection Control Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our Quality/Risk and Infection Control department.

  • This part-time role will support the development and implementation of quality and infection control procedures, practices and standards.

You will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams and participating in relevant committees to collect data and key performance indicators. You will have knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System.

The ideal candidate will conduct clinical audits, monitor and surveil as required. Direct patient care will be provided as needed, guiding less experienced staff members. Education and training on relevant topics will be provided.

Requirements
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 5 years post graduate experience and/or qualifications in either Infection Control and/or Quality Management
  • Experience in the Acute setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to high standard of clinical and customer focused care
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various databases
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Immunisation certificate (or working towards)
