About the Role

Pacific National is seeking a qualified driver to join our Coal Business team at Greta depot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting coal from mine to port, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our Coal Business operates within the Hunter Coalfield, Gunnedah Basin, Mudgee Basin & Western Coal Fields, Sydney Basin and Southern Coalfield (Illawarra). You will work closely with our team to ensure safe and efficient transportation of coal.

We offer career pathways and opportunities for professional growth, including Driver Trainers or Supervisors roles. If you are a qualified driver with a Cert IV in Train Driving and industry relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong focus on safety and be able to work well within a team. You will be required to work a 24/7 roster, including local and barracks work.

Additionally, it would be advantageous to have:

  • Route knowledge across the Hunter Valley, Gunnedah Basin and Ulan networks
  • Competency with the operation of ECP, Wired Distributed Power (WDP), and AC traction locomotives
  • A good understanding of SPAD mitigation and in-cab behaviors
  • Basic level of computer skills
