About the Role:
Kazar Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate and Manager to join our Commercial Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our public sector clients in all aspects of Commercial and Procurement Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Commercial Strategies: You will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial and procurement strategies to support our public sector clients.
- Provide Commercial Advice: You will provide advice on simple to complex matters as they relate to commercial and/or procurement.
- Support Contract Negotiations: You will support contract negotiations and prepare contract changes.
- Assist with Procurement Planning: You will assist with, and prepare material relating to procurement planning, tendering and contract management activities.
- Draft Procurement Documentation: You will draft procurement documentation including, but not limited to requests for tender and approach to market.
- Identify Commercial Risks: You will identify commercial risks and opportunities and division of appropriate mitigations and prepare comprehensive written advice.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: You will competently communicate with stakeholders on matters pertaining to sustainment, supply and asset management to drive outcomes and foster collaboration.
- Ensure Compliance: You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, procurement policies and quality standards throughout the procurement/capability lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years' experience working as a Commercial Manager or Commercial Officer, Contract Manager, Procurement Specialist or Procurement Officer.
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws and/or Business with relevant experience to this role.
- Skills: Demonstrated understanding of government contracting and procurement templates including the ASDEFCON contracting suites.
- Leadership Skills: Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals within specified timelines.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effect engage with stakeholders at all levels and negotiate with conflicting priorities.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a track record of delivering successful outcomes in complex environments.
- Citizenship and Security Clearance: Australian citizenship and security clearance (NV1 or higher is required).
