Job Overview

At Journey Early Learning, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Centre Manager to lead our centre on the path to exceeding. Our centre is where your journey begins. We provide stimulating learning environments and nurturing educators for children aged six weeks to six years, allowing them to make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth, and opportunity.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced leader within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector who has a strong understanding of compliance, team leadership, and demonstrating exceeding levels of practice. You will be accountable for all aspects of the daily management of your centre and lead your inspired and inclusive team to follow all aspects of the National Quality Framework.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated commitment to providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for all children and their families
  • A demonstrated ability to adhere to and understand the ECA code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours while engaging with children
  • Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role
  • ACECQA-approved Diploma in Children's Services or bachelor's degree (Early Education)
  • Current Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing centre performance to exceed national quality standards
  • Working collaboratively with the enrolments team to ensure all enquires are addressed positively
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with families to create a sense of belonging and connection to the centre
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are implemented, evaluated, and reviewed regularly
  • Advocating for the rights of every child and coordinating quality programs that support their development
  • Being accountable for all aspects of the business
